As mentioned above, Mr.Sarkey Sherpa, the president of this organization, was born in Solu Valley where he spent his childhood very miserably. Unfortunately, he lost his parents when he was at the age of thirteen. He did not have access to school and neither his parents nor neighbors were from the educated background. Mr. Sherpa involved in the tourism industry as a porter in 1978.

Well known about the poverty and illiteracy of his village and villagers, Mr. Sherpa always used to dream of equipping the children with the better education. His dreams came to be true when he dared to establish the organization “FACE TO FACE NEPAL” with the assistance of national and international well-wishers. He actively offered his volunteer service to the CITTA HOSPITAL that lies in the remote area of Humla District on the way to Mt. Kailash for three years as a vice-president and still helping the hospital by supplying medicines which he receives from his clients of trekking. During his more than two decades long career in the tourism industry, he met so many kind-hearted friends who also inspired him to be social activist. Needless to say, Mr. Sherpa is a bonafide person in the tourism industry of Nepal. He has profound knowledge of tour operation not only in Nepal but also in India and Tibet. With the money he earns from his business, he spares some to help the organization.
